The Student Council for the academic year 2026-27 was formed through a transparent and democratic election process at Hills' High School. Nominations were invited from deserving students of Classes IX to XII, followed by a scrutiny of eligibility and discipline records. Eligible candidates addressed their peers during a campaign session, presenting their vision and commitment. The final selection was made through 'Online voting' where students from the Secondary and Senior Secondary sections cast their votes fairly. The process was conducted under the supervision of teachers to ensure impartiality, and results were announced based on the highest number of votes received, reflecting the students’ true choice.

Hills' High School conducted an In-House Teachers Training Session on Saturday, 1st June 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Audio Visual Room. The topic was ‘Gender Sensitivity with Inclusive Education’, by Mr. P.D.Kotwai. The session focused on identifying unconscious bias, using gender-neutral language, and adopting inclusive teaching strategies for all learners, including CWSN. Through case studies, discussions, and hands-on activities, teachers explored practical ways to make classrooms more equitable and respectful. The session concluded with teachers drafting inclusive classroom practices, reinforcing the school’s commitment to NEP 2020 and a safe, inclusive learning environment.

In compliance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education & Govt. of India to create awareness about water conservation and promote the message "Jal Hai Toh Kal Hai", our school observed Jal Pakhwada from 16th April to 30th April, 2026 as per government guidelines. Various activities were organized to sensitize students about the importance of water, hygiene, and sustainable usage.
The main aim of the activities conducted was to educate students about water conservation and management, to inculcate responsible water usage habits among students, to highlight the link between clean water, hygiene, and health.
World Earth Day was celebrated in our school on 22nd April 2026 with great enthusiasm to spread awareness about environmental protection.
Students actively participated by decorating soft boards with posters, slogans, and collages highlighting the importance of saving water, planting trees, reducing plastic use, and conserving energy.
A special assembly was conducted where teachers as well as students shared their views on Sustainable living practices. To mark the day, students and teachers participated in a plantation drive in the school garden and took responsibility for nurturing the saplings.
The celebration instilled a sense of responsibility towards Mother Earth and motivated students to become young green ambassadors.

World Health Day was observed in our school on 7th April 2026 with the aim to spread awareness about healthy habits among students.
Students of Classes I–XII actively participated by decorating the
soft boards with creative charts and posters highlighting the harmful effects of excess sugar on health. The boards displayed facts on obesity, diabetes, and dental issues, along with tips for healthy alternatives.
Teachers conducted special sessions in their respective classes to brief students about a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and reduced screen time.
As part of the activity, students brought healthy and nutritious lunch from home and shared it with their classmates. The tiffins included fruits, sprouts, salads, millets, and homemade snacks, promoting the idea of “Eat healthy, stay healthy.”
The celebration was interactive and impactful, encouraging students to make mindful food choices and adopt healthier routines.

As part of the upcoming elections, a Rangoli Program on Voter Awareness was organised at the Collector Office under the initiative of the Surat District Education Office. The main objective of the program was to highlight the importance of democracy and encourage active participation in the electoral process.
A few students from Hills High School, along with dedicated faculty members, got the opportunity to visit the DEO Office and participate in the event. Our students showcased their artistic talent through various attractive Rangoli designs that effectively conveyed a strong message of voter awareness and civic responsibility.
The program was graced by District Education Officer, Dr. Bhagirath Parmar, who was specially present on the occasion. He encouraged the students and appreciated their creativity and efforts.

Our school marked its 16th Foundation Day on 5th April, 2026 with great enthusiasm. Students displayed beautiful crafts and decorated soft boards creatively. The management arranged fun games for all, making it a day full of joy and togetherness.
The event not only celebrated the school’s legacy but also strengthened the sense of belonging among students. It was a memorable day that truly embodied the school motto.
